| Cartridge Filters |
| Cartridge filters have a greater surface area than sand filters, which allows for fewer clogs and easier maintenance. These filters run at lower pressure than sand systems which puts less backpressure on the pump, providing more flow and turnover. You can easily clean a cartridge filter once or twice a season by hosing the cartridge element off. These filtration systems can trap debris as small as 10-15 microns! |

| D.E. Filters |
| Diatomaceous earth (D.E.) is mined from the fossilized exoskeletons of tiny diatoms. These elements are used to coat the grinds in the filter housing unit and act as small sieves which facilitate the removal of debris as small as 5 microns. Once the pressure rises, the D.E. filter is backwashed just like a sand filter and then recharged with more D.E. powder. |

| Sand Filters |
| Using a sand filter allows impurities to be extracted from your pool’s water using sand to collect and attract pool debris as small as 20-40 microns. Sand filters need to be backwashed (running the system in reverse) to unload the water waste. |
